Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort

Landed in Honolulu with a beautiful rainbow in the sky. Ready to have fun in Waikiki! 🌺

You know that image in your mind of Waikiki Beach, the one with Diamond Head in the distance and outrigger canoes in a turquoise bay of warm water? That’s what you have at Duke’s plus great music and fun! Our Outrigger Advisory Board definitely had fun and laughs – Thank you Outrigger Resorts!

With two of the only seven true beachfront resorts in Waikiki, Outrigger is a great option for your vacation. Between the Reef and Waikiki Beach, there are so many choices, the suites are beautiful! This is the Coral Reef Suite and the Voyager 47 Club.

Oahu 2021

May 2021

We decided to take advantage of the new nonstop flight to Honolulu from SNA and spend a few days in Waikiki.

We stayed at the Aston Waikiki Beach Tower in a two bedroom unit with a spectacular view!! It’s actually across the street from the beach but there are no buildings on the beach in front of the hotel. They don’t have the full service resort amenities but there is a pool and gym and right in the middle of everything so food, restaurants and entertainment everywhere.

Brunch at the Ritz Carlton was delicious. They have an outdoor area with restaurants and pool, cabanas halfway up. They are set back in the city, so not on the beach, but still have nice views of the water.

Dinner and drinks at Dukes is obligatory in Waikiki. We had cocktails at the Voyager 47 Club in the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. They have the perfect location and best views on Waikiki Beach. Dukes is always a fun place, great music on the beach, tiki touches, ambiance and good food.

After a drive around Oahu, we ended up at Aulani, A Disney Resort in Ko Olina. It’s a beautiful family resort.

Good bye Aston Waikiki Beach and on to our next stop, The Beachcomber!

The Reef is towards the end of the beach so it’s in a small sliver but has great views! It is almost done with its renovation and looks amazing!

Oahu 1976

We took a family trip to Hawaii and stayed in Waikiki at the Sheraton Waikiki. I remember being excited because it was the same hotel they stayed at in the Brady Bunch!

We loved Benihana because it was exciting and they actually did knife shows where they actually threw them.

More pics to come, have to find them!

Maui and the Road to Hana

We flew business class to Maui and it was worth it for the long flight from New York. I didn’t want the flight to end I was so happy!

One of my meals

We were here for the Yahoo President’s Club

Felt good after a long flight!

Ka’anapali Beach is beautiful

We had beautifu accommodations at the Westin right on Ka’anapali Beach

Party time!

We spent the day exploring the center of Maui at the beautiful Iao Valley park.

A trip to the Dole Pineapple Plantation was so much fun and beautiful 🍍

Another night of fun and late night poker

The Grand Wailea in Southwest Maui is another great place to be, drier and less rain.

Downtown Lahaina

Another fun night and a sunset Luau dance

We dove today and saw so much but I loved the sea turtles the most, especially the young ones!

We drove the famous Road to Hana with leisurely stops at the fruit stands that are all over.

Lots of stops along the way to see black sand beaches and stunning coast lines. Remember the Road to Hana is not the destination, it’s the trip.

It was Easter Sunday so we made sure to visit some church’s along the way.

Just beautiful, Wai’anapanapa State Park

The main road in Hana

We stayed at the Hana Maui and it was so beautiful.

Fresh fruit plates at breakfast were a highlight!

Wailua Falls

The Oheo Gulch or Seven Sacred Pools was a nice walk and gorgeous vistas over the Pacific.

Hamoa Beach has a mixture of black and white sand, it was a perfect day

Hana is all about peace and tranquility, we spent the day at the resort and in the spa. Perfect send off to head back to New York.
