Tahiti

November 2022

Beginning of Trip

Goodnight LA, good morning Tahiti ✈️

Off to Tahiti to explore the islands in French Polynesian. An 11pm flight for 8 hours and we landed at 5am local time. I slept most of the way in Air Tahiti Nui’s Moana Premium Economy because it was so comfortable. We were warmly welcomed to the InterContinental Tahiti Resort at 5:45am with fresh pineapple juice and our rooms ready. Back to sleep for a little while then time to explore the beautiful resort and have an al fresco lunch.

Cocktails at the Intercontinental Tahiti while we wait for sunset. One of the most beautiful sunsets greeted me on this first night in Tahiti, no filter, just pure nature.

Next was dinner with the most delicious Poisson cru, the national dish of Tahiti. It is made with fresh, raw fish, crunchy raw vegetables, lime juice and coconut milk – it’s heavenly!

Off to Moorea next, then back here before we go to Tetiaroa.

Middle of Trip

The ferry brought us back here after 2 days in Moorea then we flew to Tetiaroa. When we returned from Tetiaroa after 2 nights, we spent some time exploring the island.

We had the most delicious French lunch at Le Soufflé!

End of Trip

Our last day was back here for some shopping at the International Marketplace and a day room at the Hilton Tahiti until after dinner.

The Hilton Tahiti was next to relax, have a nice dinner and regroup for the flight home. I’m sad to say goodbye, it was a beautiful time in French Polynesia.

Sandals Royal Plantation

September 2021

Sandals Royal Plantation is an all suite and all Butler boutique resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Set on a cliff, the views from every level down to the beach are gorgeous.

The entrance is so stately and Old World, I love it.

The lobby is just as elegant.

The property is small and beautiful, so easy to navigate. The views are beautiful in all directions looking over the sparkling sea. I love the contrast of the pink umbrellas and blue water.

The Spa and Gym above and then some pictures of the different rooms in the resort.

The game room and some areas to relax and look out over the beautiful grounds.

From the pool perched on the edge of the cliff down through the gardens to the beach, the resort is verdant and lush, a true tropical paradise. There is a casual beachside restaurant and bar right on the sand. In the evenings it is a gourmet restaurant on the water.

The beach is very nice, water sports available and plenty of places to relax with a book too.

The is the perfect resort for honeymooners or those that enjoy a more relaxed experience and boutique atmosphere. Every room having a Butler is another perk and the food and service are excellent. Sandals Royal Plantation is a favorite 💜

Sandals Ochi

September 2021

Sandals Ochi has a different vibe than the others, it is more lively and has a younger crowd with great nightlife.

There are two sides to Ochi, this is the beachside that is located on the water. Definitely the side you want to be on if you’re a beach lover.

The open air lobby has great views and beautiful colors. There’s also a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner right off the lobby and the lobby bar. The bar also has a great outdoor terrace with fire pits, comfortable seating and spectacular views.

The beach side is spread out along the beach with a few different areas for swimming and a few different pools.

The pizza at Sandals is really good! Perfect for lunch by the pool. There is also a theater over on this side and they had some great musical performers at night.

The other side across the street is much larger and spread out. You take a quick 5 minute shuttle ride back and forth. The pool here is much larger.

The spa is small but has everything you need for rest and relaxation.

The beach front Club Level room has amazing views and the best location right on the beach.

Anguilla

November 2014

Regal Princess Cruise

Anguilla is only 3 miles wide and 16 miles long! It is part of the British West Indies and the northernmost of the Leeward Islands. It’s known for its beautiful beaches and proximity to St. Martin, only 6 miles away.

Stunning Shoal Bay!

I’m very happy, this is my kind of beach!

We took the ferry over to Anguilla, a beautiful but tiny island that is very close to St. Martin. Anguilla has one of the nicest beaches I have ever seen and the water is just as beautiful!

Uncle Ernie’s was a great place for lunch right on the beach.

The ferry that took us to Anguilla from St. Martin.

Sandals Royal Caribbean

I love this resort, it is small and intimate, plus it has an offshore island and overwater bungalows. It is located about 5 minutes away from Sandals Montego Bay but a much different experience.

Sandals Montego Bay

The original Sandals in Jamaica. It is the only Sandals that has the most repeat business, and it’s located right next to the airport. It does have a fun vibe and a great resort.

We stopped at Scotchie’s on the way back to the ship. It’s a great place to have authentic Jerk in MoBay!

Sandals Negril

September 2018

Love Negril! Back again to stay at Sandals Negril on Seven Mile Beach. Totally different vibe than South Coast but both are amazing.

The resort is longer than deeper as it follows along the beach so that you are never more than a minute or two from the water.

We had a great afternoon free to enjoy the resort and the beach. Our Butler was amazing and really took care of us all day.

We had a Sandals beach party that evening so we had some appetizers and champagne before the party.

The last morning was so beautiful, just didn’t want to leave.

Goodbye Negril, I will be back.

Rick’s Cafe, Negril

September 2018

Always a fun place to visit. Rick’s Cafe is the place to watch cliff divers on the westernmost coast of Jamaica. It is also the place to watch the sunset with reggae music and a Red Stripe.

Too bad it was overcast and we missed the sunset but we still had a blast!
