Ruby Princess

November 2017

Mexican Riviera Cruise

Our Thanksgiving Cruise was compliments of Princess Cruise Line, I won it at our National Conference and Arnold Donald the CEO presented it to me. So thank you Princess!

The boys were very excited to spend the week cruising.

Our view when looking down from our balcony. A good reason to work with a travel agent-so you don’t have people looking down and watching what you do!

The boys love having room service delivered in the morning to hold them over until breakfast!

Enough salmon??

Relaxing day by the pool and tea and scones at 4pm. One of the things I love about Princess is the high tea every afternoon.

Some evening fun playing darts with the boys.

Great morning in Puerto Vallarta, México.

The boys discovered baby sea turtles emerging from the sand!! The conservationists quickly arrived and the boys were able to help scoop them all up, over 80 were in the nest!

They collect them and keep them cool and comfortable until sunset when they are released. This greatly increases their chances of survival.

This was the highlight of the trip for the boys. They were able to release one of the babies and watch them make their way safely to the water.

Came back to the ship and had our tea and scones! That evening the Maitre D’ arranged for an authentic Indian dinner for us. We mentioned how much we love Indian food and there are many who work in the valley that love to share their cuisine from home. I never like taking pictures of food after you start eating but this one is a must to show how amazing the food was!

Today we went to Stone Island to relax in Mazatlan, Mexico.

The boys were playing with all the local animals.

Rowan played some music for the locals and they loved it. Mazatlan is known for their shrimp, it’s their number one industry. It’s so fresh, like none you’ve ever tasted. We had it a few different ways, crispy, ceviche and aqua chile-the best I’ve ever had. It’s just tossed raw in freshly squeezed lime juice, sliced red onions, cucumber slices and chopped chile peppers.

Stopped at a cute courtyard bar in Mazatlan for some tequila before we head back to the ship. The sunset was beautiful as we sailed away.

Happy Thanksgiving from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Fresh ceviche

Rowan snorkeling on Medano Beach.

The obligatory stop at Senor Frogs.

Back to my balcony for afternoon tea and a book and some tequila, just because we are in Mexico!

Gorgeous sunset.

Thanksgiving dinner with the family.

Today the fog rolled in like smoke, we watched it and it was so cool. Then we were totally engulfed in it and couldn’t see more than a few feet in front of us.

Dinner on our last night was at Share by Curtis Stone. It was a really good meal, enjoyed it. But sad that this was our last night on the Ruby Princess.
